How to enable persistence of HTML5 form data
I'm working with a HTML5 form and I need to upload some data to a database. The form is fairly simple -- several text and select fields that need to be submitted to the server. However, it seems that the server side (PHP) is not receiving any HTML form data. Instead of receiving the data I expect, I'm getting an empty array.
From what I've read, when using HTML5 forms you don't have the option to persist form data between form submissions; all the data is considered to be "live" form data.
Is there a way to have the form data persist? I've seen some demos where the user logs in and the data is stored on the client. But these techniques are too crude for my needs. Is there any way to persist the form data between the form submission and the form submission? I really need the server to receive the form data and process it.
I'm using a standard HTML form -- not any plugin I've found.
You need to write your own server side script (using PHP) that checks for an upload of a file, and if you want to persist the data you store it in your own database.
The OAuth flow would be a good way of doing it as well.
